Holiday Dining Room Tour with a Christmas Tablescape

Well, the holidays have officially started. I lost my temper. Ok, maybe that's a simplification, let's just say I put a twenty something year old in his place.

How does that sound?

Plus I finished decorating my dining room for the Christmas holidays, so I can cross 2 things off my list.

Do ya'll remember the not so ed-u-ma-cated know it all when I tried to buy a new front door? (You can read that here if you missed it) Well I think that bast  uhhh jerk has a son...

and the son works at my local dog groomer where I get Shadows nails done.

Here is how things went down...I got busy and she went longer than usual to get her nails trimmed. So I finally got around to having them done, and this 20 something man brings my 80 lb german shepherd out and while he's switching the leashes around, he proceeds to tell me in a rather snooty tone that I really need to take better care of my dog and her going this long for a manicure isn't acceptable.

You can insert my laugh here because that's exactly what I did.....in his face.

Then I gave him one of my award winning paragraphs that I'm guessing the store will never forget.  Because even the 30 to 50 year old groomers in the background were laughing by the time I got finished!

"Are you serious? No, wait...I'm being punked right? This is going to end up on Youtube....No?

(Crickets)

Ohhh ok, I get it. You're what, between 19 and 22 right...don't answer that. Because I already know. Look here sparky cuz this is how things are going to go, K? You're going to take that back, because you seem like a nice young man, and having your foot in your mouth isn't going to get ya laid round here K? (the ladies grooming in the back drop started giggling)
But answer me this....You still live at home?"

"Yes"

"Uhh yeah how'd I know that...ok. Well when you get into your car, I'm assuming you own your own car? Never mind, who cares, but when you drive back to your parents home, and visit that place where you get to live probably rent free and open that fridge that's probably fully stocked by your mother and those sheets that she washes so you can lay your head down on a clean dry bed.... then you think of me!"

Because that's what I am busy doing while you stand here thinking I should concerned about what you think....ok sparky?"

I heard one of the women laugh and say "man down" as I walked out...LOL

It must be a serious pet peeve of mine...people that think they're gonna re-invent the wheel without walking in someone else's shoes first...Oh well!

I added antlers, dried hydrangeas and a few pops of lime green and silver to this tree for an added look.

I didn't fuss too much about the tablescape. I just did a simple and quick buffet for just a few friends...

The woodsy centerpiece is one of my favorite things. So I added some hanging icicles and some glass ornaments for a bit of sparkle.

I didn't count but on this tree I probably have at least 12 antlers all around. Plus various feathers, dried hydrangea and icy faux garland that I cut up. Which is one of my tricks, I usually don't buy those small picks found at craft stores, I buy the garland and cut it up. On sale you get way more bang for your buck!
