Porch Tweaking

Adding touches of the Spring Season to the Front Porch/

It's almost 60 degrees outside here in NW Indiana....I'm outside without a coat!

I've got the I-Pod Shuffle tucked in my bra, head phones in my ears singing and dancing to Bonnie Raitt's "Working on a Love Letter"...

People driving by probably think I'm tweaked off drugs but I don't care!

My bulbs are poking thru...and my skin is getting warm from the sun. It doesn't get any better then this right now.

Here there come my little Allium babies....My singing is making them grow faster...

Ok, maybe it's Bonnie's. But I'm doing a helluva background vocalist!

The green post in the ground topped with a finial is my version of a hose reel.

OK, time for a poll....I have to paint the window trim this summer, and when I say "have to", I mean it's been peeling for 2 years now. So this is it...I have to pick a color. Now. No more procrastination. (by sharing this with you I have now entered into a written agreement to get this done. You have my permission to rag on me if I do not post that I finished this by August)

The bottom sills are stone ledges, so I'll keep them the white/grayish color. The original color of the trim is white and it's never really felt cohesive to me.

Suggestions? Ideas? I have 3 different colors going on in my mind:

Cream (like the cream brick)
Brown (like the roof, gutters or darkest brick)
Green (like the plants)

Please let me know what you think.

It's so gorgeous outside I even started on the back yard.

I need some more purple but plants will take care of that...and a can of spray paint. The table is a heavy beast that is rusted steel with a wood top that hubby made.

I'm thinking some tweaks are needed here, like longer boards and to get the old grinder out and cut those "V" side plate thingy's down so you can actually get more then one leg underneath.

It's fantastic tho...we often get wind gusts of 50 MPH during storms and this table weighing in at 70/80 pounds....won't budge, flip or go rolling down the driveway.

The wreath below got moved to the front door.

Ok I'm off to go roll in the grass with the dog.

I hear rain is coming in a day or two, so I'm going to enjoy this with hubby and have a frozen pizza for dinner instead of me being stuck inside.

XO,

Christine
