Color popping up through the ground. Chirping birds pregnant with beautiful tiny babies. Ya know what that means? It's Spring time baby! I have been straightening up and adding some color to the front of the house. So who is ready for a Spring tour of my front porch?

I kept the fundamentals in place. The concrete planters, the bench bought last year from Costco. This year I went for foliage in my planters for the front first, then I went looking for color.

I am glad I did. The guacamole Coral Bells lime green can be seen from the street! It is so bright and eye catching I am already getting the traffic jams of rubber neckers.

And my tulips haven't even budded yet.

It is too early for a nice spiky grass or tall texture for pots unless I use a shrub. These concrete pots aren't that big, so for a thriller I used some small arborvitae that Lowes had.

I used the same black and white patterned rug from Target. This still was such a smart purchase. If they still had it, I would probably buy a 2nd.

That way when this one wears out I have a backup. But it has been 2 or 3 years now and it still looks great.

I didn't bring the square glass side table out. I decided to keep it simple and use the white ceramic stool, which has just enough space for 2 glasses of whatever suits us.

In between shooting competitions, Greg has been helping me on yard cleanup. The cheap electric trimmer I bought is making quick work of a lot of trimming.

The blower is helping with all the leaves that fell late last year and got covered with snow. I am still shocked with how much yard debris we have! Plus all the dead annuals in pots. My garbage man is going to groan this week with the recycling bin.

As you can see I have already scored on some 3 dollar perennials and white petunias, so I better get back outside and find the right spot for these babies! I hope you've enjoyed this porch tour for Spring and stay tune for the gorgeous blooms that will sure follow.
