It's Fall tour time! A classic black and white color scheme and mixing in my signature favorite color of purple is truly relaxing this time of year. It signifies that a hot season filled with weeds, sweating and having to shave my legs is coming to a close. 



I'm kidding about the shaving part of course but truthfully I will slow down on the razor police.

 Our nights here are at a cool mid sixties and I'm loving it!

I went with a "less is more" for the porch. Mainly because I included a video for you as well and it gives a garden tour.

 I did manage a small Fall vignette out near a new Birch Tree as well for a pop of interest. I have two fiddle leaf figs that are doing very well. I hear so many people's frustration about growing these things. So far I think I am mastering it. I spotted some new growth on both of them so they love a North facing spot with only a couple hours of Sun and terracotta pots.

If I were to name this scheme I would have named it the year of the plants. I have literally stopped visiting decor stores until my Garden is filled to my satisfaction with plants. I literally have not been in a HomeGoods since maybe April?

 Shocking I know!

I am trying out having a window box on my porch railing.

 It's keeping me from doing a DIY project I have been thinking about for a couple of years. I actually want a large window box underneath the window just to the left (below) but it would be approximately 15' feet long and that's a tremendous amount of weight for a brick wall to hold up. Plus the vision I have in my mind is metal. This would be no easy job and it'd also be pricey! So this is me......stalling.

I found a cute Fall sign at Big Lots and put it next to the front door and put a few favorite plants on the steps next to the lanterns and called it a day.
