Spring Decor Tablescape

Pretty pink tulips with a moss table runner set alongside my favorite white square dishes for me, is a table setting that even in a couple of years will still look good.

I found a architectural sign online and thought they would be a nice juxtaposition to the new grey curtains, so I bought it. I can be cheap with some things, so paying for something online I haven't even touched can be difficult sometimes. I'm sure I've missed out on some great stuff!

Especially when it's clearly written on the website that it takes "3 to 7 days" to process the order AND another 5 to 14 days to ship. I appreciated the heads up, because the older I get, patience seems to coincide with the grey hair that is showing up.

The concrete bunnies are still a huge favorite of mine. If I could find larger ones locally for my garden I would buy them if the price was right.

The rustic brown pulley on the wall seems to look even better now with the darker grey curtains in here. I almost didn't buy these curtains because the price was a bit steep for me to buy (again online)

I am old school and will always prefer to be able to touch and feel something before I buy it especially since I hate trying to return something bought online. Which I think to be honest, I have never done.

The weather is gorgeous one day and back down in the low 40's the next, so I am hopping between projects. I am on garden clean up outside every chance I get. The other projects I started and laugh because they will probably not get finished are:

Updating the master bedroom, which is almost done, so I am hopeful on this one. My new quilt set should be here today and that might be the last piece of the puzzle for that project.

Making over the stairwell to the basement. It desperately needs new carpet and a paint job. Then of course there is painting the kitchen cabinets. The new pantry is finished, but I still have not

found wood trim I like for the upper cabinets, and since that is going to need to be installed before paint. Now you see where I'm at.

I hope everyone is well and finding ways to stay positive and busy. Everyday I try and pick or find something to do that I hate doing. Like sweeping for cobwebs or touch up painting the ceiling.

If I am going to be asked to be anti social, the least i can do is be able to look back and say I made the best use of my time. That includes naps as well. I have discovered a 20 minute nap after lunch makes me feel pampered.

A very calming table, Christine. The drapes look really good, and I love how you stay true to your rustic-refined self.
The first week of our social distancing (we started Mar 13), I watched a lot of news, but not now. When it's not raining, we're walking (Mr. P is now released from his neurosurgeon to go as he pleases, as he can tolerate), and he's almost back to our normal 3 mi daily. I'm busying myself in the kitchen more, cooking, experimenting a little. One of my sisters has completely weeded all her landscape and spread 50 bags of mulch so far (needs more), lol. I guess that leaves more time for future weeding. Love seeing the stream of your IG photos on your blog (I'm not on IG). Stay well, my friend.

I love the purple glassware and the contrast with the green moss and bunny. It looks beautiful.

Hanging in here -- mostly reading, blogging and cooking but I finally got Easter decorations up so I feel a bit better on that. I will be "in" beyond whatever the limit is, according to my doc, but I'm willing. If it would stop raining I'd be in the yard. Soon!

Stay well, Christine.
