Best Christmas Lights
This year I was super excited to do our Christmas Lights outside. Because on a whim, we actually hung the icicle lights all around the house. We did our tried and true method of using a amazing holiday hack to get them up fast and easy.
If you haven't seen this method that literally saves you hours, then please check out the video called How to Hang Christmas Lights Fast and Easy.
Another update we did to our outdoor decor, was to add some life sized Deer. I got all three on sale or christmas Clearance at Home Depot and completely love them.
I do not know where or how we are going to store them, but I will figure that out after December 25th.
It shocked me how tall these two adult figures are. When they said eight feet tall they mean the top of their heads. Not the antlers.
As you can see I am not prone to blow up dolls or cutesy child like figurines. I am more drawn to timeless and life sized that stops cars in their tracks.
I'm sure you end up in the same boat. The only thing that would have made these shots any better is if we had gotten snow. This winter has really been warm here in the corn fields of NW Indiana. Ironically, we will probably get 5' of snow right after Christmas.
So far our electric bill has only gone up from normal months about 30 dollars. I have 5 trees lit up inside, some with LED, some without. Our normal electric bill with all old fashioned lights usually runs about 400 bucks before we lit the entire roof with icicles. We have up until now did just the front.
Here is a quick shot of the back door.
