Christmas Kitchen Decorating Tour with Updated Windows

Holiday Home Tour - Decorating for Christmas

Christmas Kitchen Holiday Tour

Well, I finally got my kitchen clean enough to show you the updated windows plus a little bonus of some Christmas cheer....

I wish I could have shown you "reality" but the reality is life is messy and when it's at it's worst, I'd rather see a fairy tale as a break. I mean, I get to see reality every day...Live.

So welcome to my Fairy land....

3 hours before this, this was my wrapping center, the place where I made my lunch, where Holiday décor surplus ended up, as well as my purse, all the holiday receipts and some dog hair. She is giving the gift that keeps on giving :-)

Even if the rest of the kitchen is scrubbed, mopped and waxed...I never clean off my stove. Hardly ever....that's reality. I am the worst stove top cleaner, ever!

OK, so let' take a one picture look at what my kitchen looked like last year...please note the yellowed wood windows, the gross drop light and my epic fail and kitchen curtains...oh and I was a novice at picture taking with an old camera

Now lets see what I get to see every morning when I am on my early morning coffee run....

The icy wreaths on the windows are actually candle rings I found at Hobby Lobby....

The new curtains and chandelier shades are from Tuesday Morning
The chandelier is from Home Depot....there's a shocker, who'd have thought HD?!

Remember when I said my window update spawned into other projects...it spawned into a new chandelier over the sink and new crown molding on top of all the cabinets.

The old narrow window trim was back support for the transom, or bridge that joined the 2 sink cabinets, so with wider trim it wouldn't work...which meant it needed to come down, which then showcased the fact that we had electrical wires coming out of the wall for drop lights over the sink...

I used to hide that....platters and pretties were a blonde's best friend.
Now I have a new bestie...

Well as hubby is waiting for dinner and it's 6 already, I should go whip something up real quick, seeing as how he indulges me in my fairy land...

Where is your fairy land?

XO,

Christine
