Just in time for the holiday season I am unveiling our latest DIY project for a home decor inspiration. A freshly painted Living Room all spruced up for Christmas.

A new coat of paint for the old girl has really brought the light in! I said goodbye to the purple accent wall and cream tones on the other three just in times for Saint Nick and eggnog…

I am also sharing another Blogger Christmas Series so at there will be even more bloggers to visit for Holiday Inspiration below.

You get one before shot of the “before” version, and then I get to be dramatic and gush over how the paint changed the whole dynamic of this room for the Holidays.

Ready?
And on a side note - we did repaint the entire ceiling as well.

Are you scrolling back up to the before? Because I sure was when I was writing this! I traded the old colors for a stunning neutral grey from Pittsburgh Paints. The name of the color is called Grey Ghost (27D-2) from their Grand Distinction Collection and I highly recommend it!

Hubby and I were thinking we might need 3 coats to cover the dark purple accent wall….but I am happy to say we were wrong. I am loving this paint and this room now!

Now let me show you it all decked out for some holiday cheer.

I kept the décor to a minimum. I’m liking the less is more approach these days. I am still finishing up the tree, so that will come in a day or so. Normally, I would have that in here for you to look at, but being the blonde brain I am, I had to re-do the lights all over again…..

The galvanized lanterns were found on clearance. I think they were $5 bucks each ….so three of them followed me home.

Antlers….typical me.

I made myself a cozy little reading nook where I can enjoy a book or my favorite magazine. I have to admire people who can just put pictures up in 10 minutes and walk away saying TAA DAA!

To do this corner took me 3 hours. I couldn’t decide on what to hang on the walls. But once I finished it,  I had to try it out and grab a book and a snack.

Course it also could have been that the walls are now pristine and the idea of putting nail holes in them feels like a sin.

Yes that is my favorite throw on the couch, all slouchy and waiting for my feet to snuggle with.

Below you get a quick peek of my tree, in the daytime.

Hopefully tonight I can get it finished and move on to my dining room, or front porch….or a nap.
