Rustic Tablescape for Spring

Tablescape for any season on a industrial dining table for that mix of rustic and modern decor

I am forcing Spring to hurry up around my house. So I played with a tablescape in the Dining Room using some farmhouse yet rustic touches, along with roses that I have been wanting to play with.

I had some dried hydrangeas in two different white pitchers, so I layed them inside a chicken feeder along with some deer sheds, rope and two lavender hearts I found.

The only thing in my mind that is better then dried hydrangeas is fresh ones.

One of the main reasons I am anxious for Spring is, it is our annual reno season around here. Once the ground thaws there is usually some large scale DIY project going on around here.

This year will probably be no exception, the trouble I am having is making up my mind!

My wishlist is bigger than our budget.

But, what else is new.

I was talking to my sister about my plans for a new sidewalk and paver patio in the backyard, telling her my hopes and wishes

and do you know what she said to me!?!

"What happened to you getting a backyard fence?

*bleep*

I forgot about that

Crap!

Ok, maybe it's time to add a large chalkboard wall to my kitchen?

That way I can write these wishes down, or maybe it is just time to make a home reno list on my Iphone so these things don't get forgotten.

I have been wanting a backyard fence since we bought this house in 2006.

Plus, with the indecision I am experiencing on where to do a paver patio?

A fence will help with that.
Blitz will then have more access to the entire backyard, instead of just what the chain gives him.

The shot of him playing above shows him on a cable so he can romp in the backyard, even if we are inside.

Now, before any animal activists blast me, he does NOT spend the night outside, nor does he get ignored. He is both an indoor and outdoor family pet. The weather dictates whether he is walked on a leash or on his chain.

Plus as spoiled as he is, he has no trouble whatsoever, letting us know when he wants in.

That reminds me, I need to add a new screen door to the list.

again

Crap!

Well, at least my spring reno budget woes don't apply to my tablescapes

Those I can do using what I have!

I would love to hear about any spring projects you have planned? Am I the only one that come tax refund time, the $$$ goes toward your wishes?

Don't forget to pin me!
