Rustic Winter Tablescape with Animal Print and Antlers to warm up any dining table

Winter Now flowers needed tablescape using greenery, animal print and rustic touches.

I was browsing through the archives and came across this winter tablescape and thought it was worth republishing. I hope you enjoy taking a look back at it and also seeing how my dining room used to look like!

Setting a Winter Tablescape using antlers, zebra print and leftover holiday greenery. Trying to warm things up visually around the house without spending a dime on store bought flowers.

With temperatures outside hovering around 25, there's nothing like a little texture and greenery to make it seem warm and more cozy.

I am amazed at how long fresh greenery lasts in a vase now a days! I am getting to a point in our lives and budget that we can afford to buy fresh flowers for a nice splurge of color around the house. But when you see how long it really lasts, I don't feel like I am getting my monies worth. At least with certain types of flowers. Hydrangea stems to me are the worst. No matter what trick I try, they never last more then a couple hours. Unless I get them from my own garden.

I added a pop of feather beneath the dinner and salad plate for some needed color and texture. I love how it looks.

The zebra print table runner has always been a favorite of mine. I can add any plain dishes to a table with this and it just works. Hands down, every time.

The dining room certainly looks a bit different now especially with the new paint color I just gave it. You can read about that here if you'd like.

The square cream colored dishes are a staple in my house. I love square plates for some reason. Maybe it's because they lend themselves toward the modern design to me.
