Tablescape – No Flowers Needed

You don't need to buy flowers to have a stunning floral arrangement for your tablescape.

Summer Tablescape

Setting a summer tablescape today, because I wanted to prove that you don’t need to buy flowers or have a huge flower garden, to have wonderful color on your table.

Or an expensive floral centerpiece.

For this tablescape I simply clipped some ferns, and two kinds of hosta from my yard.

No flowers for this table. I’ll admit I always want to put fresh flowers on the table. But this time of year, my garden is in transition. The bulbs have long disappeared and now the roses are just starting to bud, and the daisy's will open any day now.

I also set this table for any meal. The orange fire king coffee cups and saucers could be used for a hot beverage during breakfast. Or a hot beverage after dinner.

The wineglasses could be used for Mimosa's, or wine.

I have to admit as a loyal lover of purple, this table came out rather nice. About ten minutes into setting it, I almost pulled out the tried and true color favorites. But I resisted temptation and kept going.

Now not to fear, I am never going to lose my purple tablescape status. I am in way too deep to stop now!

But this is a nice change.
